It's been a very busy time since I've been here last. I've had a gallery opening, birthdays and I've been working on art. I have a new piece done, I've started Inanna, and I have an oil on the easel! Not to mention work and some play. ;]
What's life without some playtime? Boring, that's what!
Tonight, I'm meeting with the folks I'm doing the commission for. I've got the graphic for the letterhead done, now I just need the approval to start on the encaustic part of this. It's been very challenging, making my head go from art to design, all in one project. :]
Very cool!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers!
Here it is, Mother's day, and I'm up to my elbows in glass and glue again. I've started on the new Goddess, Inanna.
Gaia heads off to Her new spot in a local gallery, Tuesday, along with other pieces. The Love Art Gallery is opening in a lovely Victorian in the Sellwood area. It's very exciting!
I've been really busy, as is reflected in the heinous way I've neglected this blog, sigh! Work is going gang busters, leaving me limited time for art, but if I have to miss sleep to create, I will.
Besides the next Goddess, I'm also working on a commissioned piece that involves fine art and corporate branding. Whew!
And on top of that, I've started a new oil painting on panel and one on copper. I love this time of year!!! I get so energized, the daylight is the best stimulant I know of. Pictures of projects to follow soon...

Happy Easter!
I am so not good at this blogging! My poor blog is sooo neglected! It's been a really busy last few weeks and I've been either working, running for family stuff, or my favorite, creating art work!
It's time for the art season and I'm looking forward to it! Seeing familiar faces, the music and the crowds! I love it!
The First Thursday in the Pearl is on again, and I'm in it again this year. I'm also looking forward to the Last Thursdays, in the Alberta District. It's a bit of the craziness of the Sixties, plopped down in Portland. It's a really fun time. I'm going to the first as an observer, and the rest will be as a vendor. I'm looking forward to it. :)
Hoping to see you all there!

SE Art Walk
I have to say, this was a very fun event. I was in a building with six other women, and each one talented!
I have Gaia, my previously posted project, just about done, and she was the belle of the ball, so to speak. I could have sold her many times over, but I didn't want to send her out unfinished. I'll be finishing her up tomorrow, and calling a couple of interested parties.
Tomorrow I'll post pics of her finished.
The whole thing was very enjoyable. The Flying Cat coffee shop very generously donated free coffee, the use of that wonderful building was donated, by the owner, as well. A very heartfelt shout out of appreciation to him!

The Busy Season is Here!
Now that the winter is starting to loosen it's frosty grip on Portland, it's the start of my busy season!
First, we have the Erotic Ball and Art Show, at the Village Ballroom, 700 NE Dekum, Portland OR.
Then, on March 4th, back to the ballroom for another show.
Before that, the SE Art Walk, Feb. 28th and March 1st.
I'm looking forward to it all. I like the shows; meeting fellow artists and seeing what they're doing is part of the fun, for me.
I'm hoping to see lots of people this season!
